The Woman @ the Well Experience Welcomes You!
Let’s gather, share and explore God’s Well together
The Woman at the Well Experience has been around for at least 2000 years.
Women at the Well in the Old Testament found refuge in God during their daily gathering process. This took place in the early mornings when they collected the most vital resource for their households, WATER. This experience is an example of the first “water cooler moment” for women, great and small. The Well was not only a place to draw water, but was also a place where information was shared, friendships were formed and broken hearts mended. Unlike social media today, this was a deeply interpersonal experience for women where exchanges and transactions happened in person. A place for women to be themselves, share their hearts and find encouragement from other Godly women. This was our sacred place, our superpower, but has long been forgotten over the years. At WATWE, we understand the value and need to return to this sacred fellowship with Godly women and have dedicated a space where this can be done, again. All are welcome, but note that Jesus Christ is our foundation here. Look forward to meeting you at the well sis!

WATWE Welcomes: Cuffing Season, a Godly Perspective!
Cuffing Season is typically defined as the time of year when single people actively search for short-term romantic partners to spend the colder months with, typically from October through March, culminating with Valentine's Day. To better understand this term, we will explore the life of Samson. Our brother Samson lived, let’s say… a very very colorful life!
Most Christians are accustomed to glossing over his story, limiting his life experiences to just a few sound bites: his supernatural strength, good looks, his long flowing hair and lastly, his unfortunate demise after a game of cat and mouse with Delilah. The truth is that Samson’s story may richly inform and inspire your life!
I am excited to explore Samson’s life and times, along with taking a deep dive into his relationship and tragic downfall upon meeting Delilah, the woman that he considered to be the love of his life. Samson’s story is a great reminder that we are to guard our hearts at all times. Let’s explore his story together sis!

WATWE Welcomes: Gideon's Army, The 300. *Judges 6-9
Gideon was one of the 15 Judges during the time of the Judges in the Old Testament (1191-1144 BC). Though he was a pensive leader, he became one of the most famous military leaders in all of history. God used this example to show the world His unconventional glory. The Movie, "300" was inspired by his story.

TOPIC: Sisters, let me tell you all about our big sis Ruth! Now this is a Godly woman that you should get excited about and get to know, like stat! We plan on taking our time digging into the life and times of Ruth, a courageous woman who was fearless, loyal, humble, and ultimately left us clutching our pearls when she met her husband, the infamous Boaz!
Ruth was a Moabite woman who married an Israelite (Boaz). This type of pairing was not popular at the time and was in fact very rare. After the death of all the male members of her family, Ruth stays with and cares for her mother-in-law, Naomi. Ruth has the option of moving to a big city like Los Angeles or New York, but decided to stay with Naomi who moved to Judah.
Ruth wins the love and protection of a wealthy relative named Boaz. Ruth is the is the great-grandmother of King David!

TOPIC: I was recently introduced by my partner to a Minor Prophet from the Old Testament who is often overlooked, but had a powerful and timeless message for God’s people. His name is Haggai. Minor Prophets, like Haggai can be found in books Hosea to Malachi and are referred in this way because their biblical writings are relatively brief (less than 20 chapters per book).
Haggai’s message was directed towards the Tribe of Judah, after their exile to Babylon. The people were having food insecurity issues along with clothing and shelter issues. Haggai steps in to redirect the people back to the service to God by way of rebuilding God’s Temple. He reminded them to put down their technology at the time to make God a priority. Haggai is only 2 chapters long but is jammed packed with content, which is relevant to us in 2023.

*Optional discussion pre-work for this discussion
1. When are we introduced to Haggai? What was happening during his life?
2. What is your perspective on why the Tribe of Judah forgot to make rebuilding the Temple a priority?
3. What do you think are the biggest take-aways from Haggai’s message?

WATWE Welcomes: The Life & Times of King David
We are introduced to our brother David well before his fame and notoriety.
Before the scandal of his not so public affair with Bathsheba and the birth of their son, King Solomon (the wisest man who ever lived), there are many years and life experiences that we can glean from. Current reality shows have nothing on the life and times of this brother.
Would you be surprised to learn that the infamous King David came from humble beginnings as a shepherd boy, born into an obscure family in the town of Bethlehem? His bloodline is from the Hebrew tribe of Judah and he is the great-grandson of Ruth, and the youngest of eight sons of Jesse. We will start our discussions around his early life as a child, when he meets the Prophet Samuel.
David was a man with many flaws, failures, yet was a man after God’s own heart! That should resonate with us all, how God continues to love and pursue us, despite our many failures. Let's explore this story together sis!

WATWE Welcomes: The Woman With The Alabaster Box
Mark 14 sets the stage for an intimate experience between a humble woman meeting her King, Jesus Christ for the first time. Her goal was to bring the highest honor to Christ that day so she proudly anointed him with her most prized possession.
Our sister unapologetically displayed her love, obedience, sacrifice and devotion to Christ by anointing his feet with very expensive perfume. Several people in the crowd attempted to gaslight and shame her for making this decision, given how valuable this resource was at the time, but they could not see the spiritual investment she made with this very act.
Her journey informs the ways in which we can lean in with Christ in our own lives. Let's explore this story together sis!

She was considered to be the last type of woman destined for royalty as Queen.
Esther's story is one of danger, adventure, preparation and ultimately, redemption. Find out what her superpower was and how her faith can inspire our obedience to God today.
